 This is a pretty nifty idea -- portable Apache/PHP/SQL server available at portablewebap.com for $9.95. Runs in your system tray and can be put on a CDROM, USB thumb drive, or just sit in a folder on your desktop. Ready-To-Go if you visit your grandparents for Thanksgiving and they don't have an internet connection (as most grandparents don't) and you want to show them some PHP stuff you've been working on. Explaining what they're looking at is a whole other story.. |
