 Tivo Series 3 is finally available for sale on Tivo.com. You can be one of the first to snag the new High Definition DVR for a rock bottom price of $799. Existing Tivo lifetime users have been sent emails on discounts to convert their existing Tivo Lifetime Subscriptions for just $199. While the dual tuners, THX Certification and ability to record the best of the best in TV broadcasting, the $1000 price tag (with subscription) will surely limit its initial audience. Hopefully for HD fans that price will drop to a very affordable amount by Christmas. I of course will wait until I have an HDTV to even think about upgrading. |
