Tesla: Man Out of Time
Posted by: AceBHound on Mar 17th, 2007 2:29 PM
I picked up Tesla: Man Out of Time at the library a few weeks ago, after reading about his importance to the invention of the radio. He helped make alternate current a viable source of energy, competing with Edison's direct current. Edison had actually tried to sabotage alternate current by having neighborhood children collect stray pets and then showed journalists the dangers of high voltage AC by electrocuting the animals. Tesla was in all accounts a genius. His success was only hampered by his failure to secure or collect on patents that he had.

Unfortunately I only got through about 100 pages of this book before I had to return it to the library. I plan on checking it out again since it's a very interesting read.
