|In-depth iPhone Review on Engadget|

|Engadget, known for their great hands-on reviews of gadgets, has an in-depth review of the Apple iPhone. If you're one of the few people who haven't yet made the plunge (note sarcasm) and could only read one review to base your decision on, this is it. While Engadget dislikes summarizing their opinions on a product in a review wrap-up, it seems they have mixed feelings about the device.
But getting things done with the iPhone isn't easy, and anyone looking for a productivity device will probably need to look on. Its browser falls pretty short of the "internet in your pocket" claims Apple's made, and even though it's still easily the most advanced mobile browser on the market, its constant crashing doesn't exactly seal the deal.
As with any new electronic device, it looks like early adopters will have to deal with some hardware and software bugs while Apple works out the issues. To be sure, the geek-factor of the iPhone is off the charts, but the question remains - is it worth paying $600 for something that still isn't the end-all be-all of productivity tools just to impress your friends or co-workers? For some people that answer is a resounding yes.
