"Thinking-Cap" allows computer control with thoughts

A new device that allows mouse cursor movement by thought may be good news for paralyzed and other disabled users. The "thinking cap" holds 64 electrodes which sit against the scalp to record brain activity. The brain signals picked up by the electrodes and translated by a special computer algorithm which is able to make sense of the user's requests. While many devices of this nature previously required implantation of the device, this one is completely implant-free.
